Winger linked with January move

Liverpool are said to be keen on Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer and are reportedly preparing an offer in the New Year.

Kenny Dalglish currently uses either Jordan Henderson or Dirk Kuyt wide on the right at the club, but neither are natural wingers and Dyer has caught the eye since Swansea were promoted.

Liverpool are not thought to be alone in their pursuit of the 23-year-old, as near neighbours Everton and surprise package Newcastle are also thought to be keen.

The diminutive wideman only signed a new three-year deal in the summer and Swansea have no need to sell, so unless someone comes up with the sort of offer they can not turn down, then a January move may prove to be difficult.
