Transfer rumour: Gago

Liverpool will battle it out with Tottenham and Everton as they hope to capture Real Madrid midfielder, Fernando Gago. The 24-year-old Argentine has become surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu after failing to hold down a regular place in Jose Mourinho’s starting XI.

The Argentine currently has two years remaining on his contract with Real slapping a £10m price-tag on the player’s head. However, despite being the front-runners to sign the midfielder, Liverpool are unwilling to go beyond their £8m valuation.
