Torres Backs Hodgson.

I read this news from the LFC official website which I think should put all of us at ease!

"Fernando Torres has backed the appointment of Roy Hodgson as Liverpool manager - and revealed he can't wait to hear the new boss's plans for next season.

El Nino is the latest senior star to give Hodgson the thumbs up, following in the footsteps of Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard.

Among the gaffer's top priorities over the coming days will be calling his No.9, who is one of four Liverpool players still involved in the World Cup.

Torres is looking forward to picking up the phone.

He said: "I was happy Hodgson got the job. I haven't had a chat with him yet but I will talk with him soon and we will see his ideas about the future.

"For now, my future is here. South Africa and the World Cup is too important to think about things after that.

"I have a very important week still here and after that I will have time to talk with him and talk about my future."

Torres added: "He did really well at Fulham and I am sure he can do better for Liverpool. He is a very good manager. He showed that in the past and in the last season with Fulham.

"Hopefully he will be the right man to give Liverpool the opportunity to be strong again."

I think more Liverpool fans will be having better sleep nights after this!
