UEFA Champions League		AC Milan
The 2004–05 UEFA Champions League was the 50th season of UEFA's premier European club football tournament, and the 13th since it was rebranded as the UEFA Champions League in 1992. The competition was won by Liverpool, who beat Milan on penalties in the final, having come back from 3–0 down at half-time. Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard was named as UEFA's Footballer of the Year for his key role in the final and throughout the Champions League season.

Luis Alberto Suárez Díaz is an Uruguayan international footballer who plays for Premier League club Liverpool as a centre forward. Suárez also plays for the Uruguayan national team. He is known as 'El Pistolero' (The Gunner).[3] Suárez grew up in Salto alongside six siblings, with a single mother.[4] In 2005, he began his professional career at Montevideo side Nacional. His older brother Paolo Suárez is also a professional football player.

Gerrard is best known for his tremendous long-range striking ability and has scored in numerous cup finals, including the 2005 UEFA Champions League Final and the 2006 FA Cup Final.
