The Uruguayan striker has been given the award again after another impressive month for the club, but insists he should score more goals and says team should be higher up the table.
Luis Suarez concedes that he was a bit embarrassed at being awarded Liverpool’s player of the month for the third successive time.
The 24-year-old striker has denied recent accusations that he directed racial abuse at Manchester United’s Patrice Evra, and seems not to have let the issue affect his football after impressing throughout October.
"It's a bit of a surprise because to win it three months running makes me almost feel a bit embarrassed,” he told The Mirror.
"But as long as people realise I'm just doing my job and I'm working hard for the team, then that's great."
And while his own football is capturing the eyes of his fans, he admits that as a team Liverpool are not doing as well as they should be, blaming their inability to see sides off as they lie just sixth in the Premier League table.
He said: "I think if we had managed to pick up a couple more victories in those games in October which we deserved, the home games against Manchester United and Norwich, we'd obviously be a little bit higher up the league."
The Uruguayan has netted seven goals this season in all competitions, but he admits he should have scored more.
"As a striker I'm always going to get plenty of chances and I could probably have converted one or two more," Suarez added.
"I also know strikers go through periods where they are trying so hard to score and they don't always go in.
"The main thing is I'm playing well and the whole team is playing in the right manner."
