A sensational brace from Stevie G helped England to a 2-1 friendly win over Hungary.
In a style that describes the ability of Steven Gerrard of former seasons, the skipper shot into the top corner from 20 yards to level the scores on the 69th minute.
Four minutes later, Stevie did even better by evading three defenders with a series of intricate touches before poking the ball brilliantly past the visiting goalkeeper.
Gerrard, who was named man of the match at Wembley, was replaced by Jack Wilshere on 82 minutes.
Glen Johnson played the full 90.
Hero of Liverpool and England!

johnwilso86 Yes another outstanding performance by the great man,Led by example as usuall and what do the press say,( Capello makes another blunder by saying on TV that Beckham is now to old to play for England) Shoving Stevies perfomance as ho, and by the way Stevie Gerrard was man of the match with two great goals. As great as Beckham was for England IN THE PAST, you the press are the ones who said lets move forward and start giving the younger players a chance, (or is it you can smell a bit of sensationalsm which could drag out for weeks) on the Beckham story.
