Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdullah of Saudi Arabi says his investment group F6 are approaching the final stages of their negotiations to buy shares in Liverpool Football Club.
It is understood that Prince Faisal is set to buy club co-owners George Gillet’s 50% stake in the club, with Tom Hicks now allowing his business partner to leave the club.
“Our negotiations to buy shares in Liverpool are ongoing, meetings are taking place and we might be in the final stages in the coming days,” Prince Faisal told AFP.
He added that his recent visit to Liverpool was to look into using the Liverpool FC brand in establishing sports academies in Saudi Arabia.
He continued, “The purpose of the visit of the owner of Liverpool Football Club to Saudi Arabia is to understand the sports industry and to learn about the facilities and the potential of the main clubs in order to set up the Liverpool Academy in Saudi Arabia.”

doctorwho no way we can think they were not going to appear sooner or later. money rules the world and it is also one of the main clues to understand the modern football. business is business and emotions or fellings never must be mixed with it. we'll just have to sadly assume it.
