Riots in England threaten Premier League opening (#4353) on 10-08-2011 at 19:35:30
Hello Reds,
As we are all well aware, the recent riots in England are causing Kaos everywhere.
The latest news report that Premier league kick-off might be threatened since police forces might be needed elsewhere.
What is your opinion about this matter? Should the opening be postponed? Should we be thinking of Football in a time like this?
Leave us your opinion.
Take care!

Personally I think that postponing the opening matches would be playing right into the hands of those idiots who rioted! They would feel that they had the power to influence the authorities. I also believe that football fans can form a much bigger and stronger crowd than any bunch of rioters. The FA should have allowed the matches to go on. It's such a shame when the so-called rights of the rioters should overcome the rights of the law-abiding majority! Sterner measures should be put in place to signal to future would-be rioters not to disturb the harmony of the majority of society! I'm glad that the Liverpool game would go on as scheduled! YNWA!
