Pepe Reina to be offered new long term deal at Liverpool

Pepe Reina will be offered the chance to extend his Anfield career as Liverpool aim to tie up the long-term future of another key first-team regular.

Club officials will sit down with Reina in January to begin negotiations over a lucrative new contract.

The 27-year-old only signed a five-year deal in June 2007 but Liverpool are keen to stave off any interest from potential suitors, with Barcelona known to be tracking the Spain international.
