Norwich complete signing of Liverpool defender Daniel Ayala

The 20-year old, who had spells at Hull and Derby last season, has moved to the Premier League newcomers after making only made five first-team appearance in four years at Anfield.

Norwich City have completed the signing of Liverpool defender Daniel Ayala for an undisclosed fee.

Both Swansea and Hull were thought to be chasing for his signature, but the Spaniard has decided to join Paul Lambert’s side.

A statement from Liverpool’s official website read: “Liverpool have confirmed Daniel Ayala has completed his transfer to Norwich City.”

The 20-year old impressed during loan spells at Derby and Hull last season but was only able to make five first-team appearances for Liverpool.

He is the Premier League newcomers' eighth summer signing and he is expected to feature in this weekend’s match against Stoke.

More activity is expected at Carrow Road before the end of the transfer window, with Lambert reportedly interested in adding to his striking options.
