Liverpool to bid for Porto ace

Porto's £6million-rated full back Jorge Fucile is being linked with a January move to Anfield as the answer to Liverpool's search for defensive cover.

The 27-year-old can operate on either flank and can count on a recommendation from Luis Suarez after being capped 34 times by Uruguay.

Liverpool are also considering his Porto team-mate Fernando and Celtic's Beram Kayal for the midfield anchor role and are interested in Crystal Palace's attacking wide player Wilfried Zaha.
