Hodgson team talks (#2420) on 05-08-2010 at 11:13:17

SmileyRoy Hodgson in talking about his star players, Say,s it is up to them to prove themselves on the stage this season with the players we have at the club and the ones coming in I can see no reason why we cannot acheive our objectives this season. They the players are the ones who can acheive what they are capable of doing in the coming season not me I just stand on the touchline for ninety minutes, they are the ones who will give their full potential and if not then they should look at themselves in the mirror. Which I think that is what they do any way when things are not going well. (WELL SAID ROY) Looking at this team, and the way you have conducted yourself in interviews, your man management of the players will be the difference to what we can achieve this season.

Certainly a mark of his team's determination was last nights game.
Many teams would have played differently with a 2-0 advantage from the first leg.
And Joe Cole must be exhausted this morning.
Sadly only 30,000 fans turned up to see his display, but all 30,000 cheered him warmly and enthusiastically as he warmed up and when he walked out an hour later for his first start at Anfield. I felt a bit sorry for those people who left a little early (job done, mid-week match, work in the morning, get out of the city asap, all totally understandable) because they missed his heartfelt appreciation of the crowd at the end and he was so taken with the occasion he could barely drag himself off the pitch and was easily the last red shirt to leave the pitch.
The whole team looked like they got their 'belief' back.
It was a pleasure to watch.

More of the same please,ROY Joe Cole and Stevie G look great together,That is what you get when two great footballers come together it was as if they had played together all their lives.Young Kelly never put a foot wrong all night,Looking good for the Arsenal game with a full squad to pick from. The Kop as was exspected gave Joe great reception, but I think Sunday will see a more vibrant atmosphere, When all the squad will be given a great reception as is the Norm.

RH's style of management is certainly delightfully pleasant when compared with Rafa's. Roy's style is more approachable and you can see that the players genuinely like him! It's so wonderful for once to see the manager cringe in anguish whenever we miss a goal scoring chance and also jump and shout with joy when we do score one! That's the kind of person I like! You're going to be a legend to rival the other legends Roy! YNWA!
