Gerrard first happy with Suarz's return, but not the fans

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard said Luis Suarez's impending return could be the catalyst for the Reds earning Champions League qualification.

Suarez was banned for 8 months for racist comments towards Patrice Evra but was set to play in last night's match against Tottenham.

"Luis can help us achieve what we set out to achieve - finishing top four and reaching two finals," said Gerrard. "I'm sure he will because he's a super player."
