Birmingham are stepping up their interest in Ryan Babel.
The Reds are ready to offload the former Ajax ace so that they can fund some of their own signings before the close of the transfer window. The news has rekindled Birmingham's interest in the 23-year-old with Blues boss Alex McLeish a long-term admirer of the versatile attacker.
Birmingham failed in a bid to sign Babel during the January transfer window, but they have been keeping tabs on his situation at Anfield. McLeish has been frustrated in his attempts to bring in attacking reinforcements after missing out on Moussa Dembele and he could now refocus his attentions on Babel.

johnwilso86 Babel for me is one of those players that needs reassurence, which he never got from Benitez or any of the other players for that matter,I think under Roy he will put an arm around him and give him the confidence he needs,I think you will see a new Ryan Babel this season playing the way he did when he first joined the club. Therefore I dont think he will be sold to any club who is interested in him this coming season.

mostin Lets hops so, he is a poor player but with all the talent needed to be a great one. Cash in and let some one eles take the chance on him, all the chanes he had under RB, and he did not deliver to offten.
