FANS BACK ECHO,S GO HOME CALL;
FANS bombarded the Echo with messages of support following our call for Hicks and Gillett to get out of the club.
Saturdays front page demanded the Americans abandon their hopes of making a multi million pound profit urging them to sell the club at a realistic price as soon as possible.
Reds fans concern about the amount of debt that the club have been saddled with since the pair bought Liverpool in 2007, and the failure to deliver a new stadium in Stanley park, has long since turned into anger.
The Echo,s call for Hicks and Gillett to "get out of a wonderful, treasured football club which so many of our readers,plus million more around the World, love and cherish so deeply" was backed to the hilt on our Message boards.Even fans from the blue half of the city logged on to show their support.
cahill56 wrote; "Any Evertonians who have smiles on their faces should look at the bigger picture. Not only is it affecting Liverpool FC but it is also affecting Liverpool as a city.
Liverpool politicians need to bang their heads together and get the ball rolling at LFC as LFC is important for the economy of Liverpool and likewise Everton FC .
"Both Evertonians and Liverpudlians should reunite and defend against outside threats"!

temjulie I am afraid the only thing Hicks and Gillett care about is money. They won't leave until they have bled us dry, and everybody who has voiced an opinion will make no difference to this I am sorry to say. Sorry John, they don't know how to 'do the decent thing.'

johnwilso86 All the ex Liverpool old boy,s are voicing their opinion in the papers now, in trying to force the Yanks to do the decent thing and push for a quick sale of the club.

temjulie Proof, if it's needed, that the happenings at Liverpool rebound much deeper than just our own club. As always in times of trouble Everton and Liverpool stand shoulder to shoulder. In this mornings paper, Moores says that if the Americans have any concience they should get out of Liverpool FC quickly. Unfortunately, as the fans know, they won't leave quietly.

suehaime Liverpool fans of the world unite! May be it's time we show the yanks that not only Liverpudlians are angry at the state that they have put our beloved clubs in! Log on to the Liverpool Echo and write down your grievances against the yanks. Or can anyone else suggest where we can send the messages! If only the yanks are on facebook or if only we knew their personal e-mails!
